High Performance RTV Liquid Rubbers
Description

81
Series Rubbers are made of liquid Part A and Part B which
cure at room temperature to tough, durable, polyurethane type
rubbers of different levels of hardness after mixing. They
offer moisture resistance, extended working time, low viscosity
for trouble-free vacuuming, excellent flow and minimal prices
for this type of rubber.

Uses
|
Molds
and mold facings, forming tools, industrial parts, rollers,
electrical potting and encapsulation, gaskets, engine mounts,
pads and bumpers. |
Mixing
and Curing
|
81-D55
Part B may crystallize. If crystallization occurs, place Part
B in an oven between 120ºF - 140ºF until it becomes
liquid. Vacuum degassing and pressure curing help provide bubble-free
parts, but is normally unnecessary. Allow mixture to cure at
room temperature 77ºF (25ºC). Ultimate properties
are achieved in approximately seven days. Molds may be used
with care after curing for 48 hours. Curing in a warm temperature
up to 140ºF (60ºC) will greatly accelerate the curing
speed while low temperatures extend the curing time. Avoid curing
in regions where the temperature is below 60ºF (15ºC). |
